Hap­py New Year 2019 ~ Wish­ing you Health and Hap­pi­ness

Over the past year Clos Mira­bel has be­come a true fam­i­ly busi­ness.

Rachel and Xavi­er and their young fam­i­ly moved from Paris to take over Clos Mira­bel both in its day to day run­n­ing and its de­vel­op­ment. They ful­ly share Ann and An­dré’s vi­sion of de­vel­op­ing a sem­i­nar cen­tre re­lat­ed to health and well­be­ing and have brought their own ar­eas of ex­per­tise and in­ter­est to the fold.

Af­ter an in­ter­na­tio­n­al ca­reer in trends and de­sign Rachel now ex­plores her pas­sion for food and has start­ed to pro­vide fine din­ing that can be en­joyed on the ter­race dur­ing the sum­mer or in the Manor in win­ter­time. Ca­ter­ing for table d’hôte, wed­d­ings, sem­i­nars and events is now main­ly pro­vid­ed here us­ing fresh or­gan­ic pro­duce from the re­gion or from An­dré’s gar­den.

Xavi­er studied Beaux Arts at the Sor­bonne and Stein­er ed­u­ca­tion in Stutt­gart. He re­cent­ly trained in Art Ther­a­py in Paris and has cre­at­ed a fas­ci­nat­ing Paint­ing Holi­day course for small groups that com­bines sev­er­al ar­eas of artis­tic tui­tion. The course takes place here at Clos Mira­bel and in the vil­lages of the Pyrénées to dis­cov­er the out­s­tand­ing beau­ty of the re­gion. The ca­ter­ing is done in house with fine wines and lo­cal spe­cial­i­ties.


An­dré has re­cent­ly trained in Per­ma­cul­ture and has start­ed a size­able gar­den. He cont­in­ues his in­ter­est in health and well-be­ing… an ex­am­ple to us all (which we do not al­ways fol­low). He re­cent­ly cy­cled 1500km across Ca­na­da in 11 days with his brother, no doubt tak­ing in­spi­ra­tion from the grow­ing num­ber of cy­clists who have come to Clos Mira­bel ei­ther as in­di­vi­d­u­als or as a cy­cling group.

Ann pur­sues her in­ter­est in Psy­chol­o­gy train­ing in Trans­gen­er­a­tio­n­al Trans­mis­sion. They are sup­port­ing the younger gen­er­a­tion in their work and still have a keen and on­go­ing in­ter­est in the busi­ness and its de­vel­op­ment.

Heather cont­in­ues to work with us from the UK and joins us with her fam­i­ly dur­ing the high sea­son.

Emi­ly has start­ed uni­ver­si­ty at Con­cor­dia in Mon­tréal af­ter two years liv­ing in St Peters­burg to learn Rus­sian. She re­turns of­ten to spend time with us and will again this sum­mer be work­ing as part of the Clos Mira­bel team.

Clos Mira­bel is lo­cat­ed in the south-west of France in the Ju­rançon wine re­gion, a few min­utes drive from Pau, a ci­ty steeped in his­to­ry. Clos Mira­bel of­fers sev­er­al op­tions for stays in Bed and Break­fasts, Hous­es, Holi­day Homes or Fur­nished Stu­dios ide­al for fam­i­ly holi­days, ro­man­tic stays and overnight stays for work or lei­sure.
